Woman Found Amazon Delivery Driver Pleasuring Himself In Her Bed
A 72-year-old British woman living in Spain is speaking out after a terrifying encounter with a delivery driver who allegedly entered her home and performed a sexual act in her bedroom. Despite immediately reporting the incident to both police and Amazon, she says the same man showed up at her house again just two days later.
Alleged Intrusion Shocks Retired Social Worker
The incident took place on July 15 in a village on the Costa Brava in northeastern Spain. The woman, known only as Jane, had ordered mosquito repellent from Amazon Marketplace. She allowed the driver through her gate using a video doorbell and asked him to wait outside. Moments later, she discovered the man, believed to be in his 20s, in her bedroom with his hand in his shorts.
“He was masturbating vigorously,” Jane said. “He turned his back, and it was clear he had ejaculated. His shorts were wet.” She immediately told him to leave.
When she confronted the courier outside, he asked for her ID number to confirm the delivery. An older colleague, waiting in a van, came to the door due to the delay. Jane tried to explain what had happened but struggled with the Spanish word for the act. She managed to take a photo of the delivery van before it left.
Same Courier Returns Just Two Days Later
Jane was horrified when the same two men returned on July 17 with another package. This time, she confronted the older man directly, saying, “Your colleague masturbated in my house. I’ve reported it to the police.” He claimed the wet shorts were due to a spilled drink and threatened to report her for making false claims.
Jane captured an image of the alleged intruder on her video doorbell and provided it to police. Investigators have since taken a suspected semen sample and confirmed that an active case is underway.
Amazon Response Raises Concern
Jane contacted Amazon’s customer service and emailed a message to the company's general inbox, which includes a reference to its founder Jeff Bezos. She says she was deeply disappointed in Amazon’s response.
“I told them this wasn’t an inconvenience—it was sexual abuse and a home invasion,” she said. Amazon later responded that the delivery personnel were not their employees but worked for a third-party seller. The company stated it would continue to investigate and cooperate with authorities.
In a written statement, Amazon said: “At Amazon, we take the security and protection of our customers and the communities we serve very seriously. This service was provided by a commercial carrier. We will keep investigating and clarifying the facts and we will cooperate with the parties that need our collaboration.”
Calls for Better Customer Safety
Jane, who splits her time between Spain and New Zealand and has been recognized for her charity work, says the experience has left her shaken. She now refuses to use Amazon, fearing the same courier could return again.
“There doesn’t seem to be a proper complaints system in place,” she said. “Amazon makes billions, but they need to invest in customer safety and make sure something like this never happens again.”
