4 Things to Know About Iggy Pop

Today is Iggy Pop's 68th birthday ... a guy with a colorful past and some interesting contributions to the world of rock.  But here are some things you might not know about James Jewel Osterberg.

First, he was born in Muskegon, Michigan but you don't have to hate him (save all that hate for Robin Bouchard).  Second, he was a drop-out at the University of Michigan.  Third, when he named his band The Stooges, he called Moe Howard to ask permission for the name, and he got hung-up on!  And fourth, it was Iggy who invented "stage diving" NOT anybody in Seattle.
