3 Famous Birthdays Today

November 30th has been a good day for entertainers and musicians to be born.  Dick Clark, the 30-year host of American Bandstand, creator and producer of the American Music Awards, and perennial host of the New Years Eve Times Square events was born in New York on this date in 1929.

Roger Glover, bassist for Deep Purple and Rainbow was born in Wales in 1945.  He was also the producer for bands like Status Quo, Nazareth, Judas Priest, and more.

And Billy Idol was born today in England in 1955.  I find this one most interesting because I never realized that in his early videos, this "punk-looking kid" was actually 30 years old!  That made him 21 when he started the punk-rock band Generation X, which makes much more sense.
