Aggravated battery with a firearm
Aggravated discharge of a firearm
Two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon

AND felon in possession of a firearm
Wow, that's a lot of charges. Let's look at the full story and see exactly what happened.
It all started when Antioch Police responded to a car crash last Wednesday.
The crash occurred at Deep Lake Road and Linden Avenue in unincorporated Lake Villa.
Lake County sheriff’s deputies and Lake Villa police officers arrived and found one of the vehicles, which was driven by a female, and the woman’s boyfriend was in the passenger seat.
The man, who is in his mid 40's, was bleeding and was determined to have been shot in his elbow and left hip. He told officers that his girlfriend's son, Jamison, had shot him at their residence.
Police then went to the Antioch Manor Apartments where the woman, her boyfriend, and Jamison live in Antioch.
Police found Jamison at the residence and placed him in custody. They spotted a gun on the floor and obtained a search warrant which revealed the gun was a Glock G44 handgun.
The mother's boyfriend told police that he and Jamison had gotten into a heated argument about salad that lasted several minutes.
When the mother pulled up to the residence in her vehicle, her boyfriend went outside to tell her about the fight.
Jamison allegedly exited the residence and began walking toward the two while armed with a gun. Jamison’s mother tried to stop her son as he approached the vehicle but he pushed her away and shot the victim.
Jamison will spend a long time in jail as he is a convicted felon and does not have a Firearm Owners Identification card or concealed carry license.
