1,000 Pounds of Missing Marijuana Blamed on Mice
Eight police officers in Pilar, Argentina are without jobs after a half-ton of pot disappeared from a police warehouse. They blamed the missing weed on mice.
The warehouse has storing 13,000 pounds of marijuana and a recent inspection found that a portion of it was missing. The police commissioner had to appear before a judge to explain the situation.
Javer Specia said that the 1,000 pounds had to have been eaten by mice. Experts disagree saying that the rodents would not mistake the pot for food. Also, the mice would likely have died from ingesting the weed and their tiny corpses would be around the warehouse.
The officers were all fired and will have to testify. A judge will decide if the pot is missing due to “expedience or negligence.”
