The Rock Island Rotary is hosting is Reindeer Ramble 5K Run/Walk this holiday season and no, you don't need to run like a reindeer or fly like one either. But you can run in a holiday costume while raising money for the Rock Island Rotary.

On Tuesday, the Rock Island Rotary announced that they are taking signups and details about the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble 5K Run/Walk.

Officials say this 5K is a fast, flat, and scenic out-and-back course along the bike path in Rock Island.

Registration for the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble is $25 through November 20th. After that, the price goes up to $30 after. Those who pre-register are guaranteed a t-shirt.

• WHEN: Sunday, December 4, 9:00 a.m.: Packet pickup and race day registration for the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble will be held on Sunday, December 4 at the start and end of the race, Circa 21 Speakeasy (1828 3rd Avenue, Rock Island), from 7:30 - 8:45 a.m.

• WHERE: Circa 21 Speakeasy: The race is set to begin on Sunday, December 4th at 9 a.m. at Circa 21 and end at the same place.

• HOW: How can I register?: You can register for the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble here.

• WHAT: What should I wear?: Officials say costumes and holiday outfits are encouraged! Awards will be given for the top three males and females overall as well as age group categories.
