Back in 2020, a false health rumor started going viral on TikTok. According to the TikTok trend, "Inserting an ice cube in your vagina has a number of benefits. It can make your vagina tighter, freeze off warts like some sort of at-home cryotherapy treatment and even ease symptoms of depression and anxiety. It is also said to actually just feel quite nice."

When doctors saw this trend on TikTok they made sure to voice their advice on why women should NOT put ice in their lady parts, as the rumors are false.

In this TikTok video, Dr. Jennifer Lincoln shares her thoughts on the trend.

When the quarantine was over, we thought the ice cube challenge was over, but boy were we wrong. Doctors are still advising women not to place ice where it doesn't belong.

For anyone that needs to know what NOT to put in your downstairs, here is a short video to inform you.

Just recently, a sexual health consultant in the UK, Eleanor Draeger, took to Twitter to give her "regular reminder" to women not to place ice lollies in their vaginas to keep cool. When asked how often she has to issue the guidance, she replied: "More often than you would think!"

A big heat wave is coming to the UK, and apparently, this ice lolly thing happens more than you would believe.

Dr. Sarah Welsh, the co-founder of HANX condom brand, warned women not to put ice lollies anywhere near their genitals.

She said: "The vagina is composed of very delicate and sensitive skin, hence things that may seem innocent to other areas of the body, if they come in contact with the vagina, can cause infections, irritations, and damage. There are many things that should never go near a vagina and ice lollies are up there. The ice can stick to the delicate skin of the vagina and cause real trauma and damage."

So we are not just talking plain ice anymore, we are talking flavored popsicles. Imagine if the popsicle broke and got stuck in there! Not an ideal situation.

Dr. Sarah Welsh said, "My advice would be to avoid any foreign bodies in the vagina for risk of infection. I would suggest loose cotton underwear and avoiding tight clothing to prevent any irritation and dermatitis from developing. A cool shower (without internal douching), and keeping well hydrated should suffice."

At the end of the day, it’s probably best not to put anything into your vagina that wasn’t designed to be there.

This whole popsicle thing reminds me of this scene from Family Guy.

I wonder how many men read this entire article.
