Pabst Blue Ribbon Gives Thieves Deadline To Return 40,000 Pounds Of Stolen Beer

Pabst Blue Ribbon is asking both for public health while also making a sort of threatening post to the thieves who knocked off nearly 40,000 pounds of beer in what might be the biggest beer heist in history.

Montclair, California Police made a statement Friday that they're investigating two thefts of cargo from an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, one of which was a truckload of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Police said the first theft took place around 10am on August 17th when a shipment worth around $45,000 was picked up for delivery but never arrived to its intended destination.

The second theft happened about an hour after the first when a $25,000 truckload of Anheuser-Busch and PBR beers was picked up by someone pretending to be a subcontractor for the company by showing fake documents.

Investigators believe the two heists are connected.

Pabst Wants Help Solving The Theft

Long story short, Pabst wants their beer back. According a social post they put out, they said 40,000 pounds of beer was stolen, which is equal to about 33,984 cans of beer.

“To the thief: we don’t fault you for wanting to brag to your friends how much PBR you have, we just wish you obtained it the honorable way,” they wrote on Instagram.

On August 21st, they said they would be giving the thieves 18 hours and 44 minutes to return the truck with no questions asked. If someone else knows anything about the case and helps catch the thieves, they'll be given a reward by Pabst.
