Woman Arrested After Trying to Book Flight Fully-Naked At Airport

Mariel Vergara, 27, allegedly walked right up to the counter at the Louis Armstrong International Airport without any clothes on.

Airline workers told her she couldn't travel in her birthday suit, for obvious reasons, and asked her to leave. She refused to go, so the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office was called to the airport.

Between the call and when police arrived, Vergara put on a dress, but it was "too short to cover her genitals" and had no underwear on.

The officers gave her a chance to leave, but she got herself into a scuffle with the officers instead and got arrested.

Mariel was charged with Obscenity, Resisting Arrest, Battery of a Police Officer, Simple Battery, and Remaining in a Place After Being Forbidden.

She's being held on a $5,000 bond.
