Trendy Moms Want Kids to Call Them By Their Names

To me, it just sounds wrong when I hear a little kid call their parents by their first names instead of saying "mom" or "dad."

Some trendy moms are now telling their kids not to call them "mom." The main reason is they're afraid it makes them sound old.

Another reason? The moms want their relationship with their kids to feel more like friends, and going by their first name helps that.
