This Is The Most Untrusted Fast Food Chain In South Carolina

In the past 10 years or so, it seems like South Carolina's culinary scene has become more infiltrated by national chains. These well-known burger and chicken franchises bring a lot of fun new flavors to the area (even though you could already get everything you need at Cook Out).

Some places create more of a sit-down/family atmosphere where you and the kids can grab quality, affordable meals and enjoy some time with the ones you love. If you’ve got picky kids or just folks who like things their way, there are definitely some spots to watch out for. With all the shiny new strip malls, just be wary that not all of these chains are built the same.

Rise of New Food Giants

Everybody knows McDonalds. The golden arches let you know you can get a Big Mac from miles away. Same with established chains like Popeyes, Wendy’s, and all the others. In the last 20 years though, we’ve seen newer chains pop up like wildfire. Like, who had ever heard of Chipotle before 10 years ago?

As these new places crop up, it’s hard to know which ones to frequent and which ones to avoid. Usually, it's best to listen to the residents of where the restaurant originally comes from. In the past couple of decades, Chick-fil-A and Popeye’s have expanded across the United States with unprecedented speed. While folks in the Midwest and Northwest may have been hesitant at first, all they’d have to do is ask someone from the South to know those places are legit.

Who Do Americans Trust the Least?

There are a lot of great places to grab a bite to eat, but where do people tend to avoid if given the chance? According to the folks over at Clarify Capital, there are three restaurants that the majority of Americans would rather steer clear of.

Sonic, Chipotle, and Panera Bread are the establishments that draw the most ire from Americans across the county. In South Carolina, you can find almost 150 of these locations, with Sonic almost doubling the other two in a number of locations.

These places usually have pretty good eats (at least in my humble opinion), but apparently, most people in this country would rather stay away.
