These Are The 4 Best Breakfast Spots In Tennessee
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Whether you’re a big morning eater or you can’t remember the last time you had anything other than coffee before noon, it’s undeniable that breakfast options are some of the most delicious.
In Tennessee, there’s no doubt that one breakfast spot is first to mind for a lot of folks. But what if you want something just a little fancier (that’s not to say Waffle House can’t be fancy, that place can be anything you want it to be.)
There are plenty of great places to eat in the morning, but no one does food quite like the folks in The Volunteer State. You really can’t go wrong with most of the places you go, but the good folks over at OnlyInYourState have given us a great compilation of some the top tier, cream of the crop places that will bring your breakfast game to the next level.
The Plaid Apron | Knoxville
Open since 2011, The Plaid Apron is a great spot for all your meals, but their Brunch offerings are second to none. You’ll find a great mix of traditional american breakfast with some high class twists. The Patty Melt sounds like it’s just to die for.
Niedlov’s Bakery & Cafe | Chattanooga
Like it says in their name, this cafe is one of the best places in the state to buy your bread. From 7am-3pm, you can get some incredible breakfast sandwiches on their bread baked fresh every day. They also offer some top notch skillets and some lunch options as well.
Bryant’s Breakfast | Memphis
After being sold in 2021, this iconic Memphis joint has continued to serve the community they’ve been a part of for over 50 years with the same incredible eats. Truly a souther breakfast, the biscuits are the main attraction but you really can’t go wrong with anything that they offer.
Golden Girls Restaurant | Clinton
This is my favorite kind of place in the whole world. An old school family restaurant that will serve you breakfast all day. While you can’t make a mistake ordering off the lunch menu, treat yourself to one of the platters or skillets and you’ll be in breakfast food heaven.
And before you go out, take a second to mourn some of the great places that we’ve lost over the past couple years. We wanted to throw an honorable mention Marcy Jo’s Mealhouse and Bakery in Pottsville that closed it’s doors in April of this year after 17 great years of service.
