These 6 Popular Food Items Are Disappearing From Tennessee Grocery Stores
With changing market trends, health considerations, and fluctuating consumer demands, a variety of well-loved food and drink items often find their way out of production.
Sometimes, it's due to companies focusing on their best sellers or deciding to make way for new introductions. Whatever the reasons may be, Tennessee, too, is seeing some iconic grocery items being phased out. Join us as we list down six popular food and drink items that are unfortunately disappearing from the shelves of Tennessee's grocery stores.
6 Food Items Disappearing From Tennessee Grocery Stores
6. Pringles Flavors and Certain Chips
Wavy Pringles along with several other flavors like Sweet & Spicy BBQ, Honey Mustard, Applewood Smoked Cheddar, Fire Roasted Jalapeno, and Jalapeno chips are about to be discontinued. The conventional Pringles chips aren't being withdrawn, however, some of the different flavors and variants are expected to vanish from the stores soon.
5. Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers
Nabisco wafers have been in existence for quite a long time, these were previously available for purchase - but recently, the company has ceased their production and redirected their attention elsewhere.
4. Dunkin Donuts Dunkaccino
"Our Dunkaccino®, with its unique blend of coffee and hot chocolate flavors, is the perfect treat to warm you up." Said Dunkin's website.
Though Dunkin' might be a staple for many Americans, it seems the Dunkaccino was not as popular. The renowned coffee and donut company has removed the item from their menu, without disclosing a specific reason for its discontinuation.
“As we focus on innovation and finding new ways to delight guests, we continually evolve our menu in an effort to deliver a fast, frictionless experience,” a company spokesperson said in a statement recently. “The Dunkaccino is retired for now, but there's always the chance for its return in the future.”
3. Trader Joe's Minty Mallows
The Minty Mallows, a beloved holiday delicacy, will no longer be offered by Trader Joe's, to the disappointment of many fans.
2. Maple Cheerios
In an effort to streamline their product offerings and focus on their most popular flavors, General Mills has decided to discontinue their Maple Cheerios flavor. The decision comes after evaluating customer preferences and market trends. Although the maple flavor has had a loyal fan base, it simply has not been able to compete with the sales volumes of classic Cheerios flavors like Honey Nut and Original.
1. Ronzoni Pastina
The outrage over the decision is as big as the star-shaped pasta variety is small.
"We searched extensively for an alternative solution but were unable to identify a viable option to make Pastina in the same beloved small shape, size and standards you have come to expect from Ronzoni. As a result, we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue this product.”
