Teen Accidentally Moved Into Apartment Complex for Senior Citizens
It sounds like a bad 80's sitcom, but a 19-year-old girl growing in TikTok popularity is documenting her life after accidentally moving into an apartment complex for senior citizens.

Madison Kohout recently moved from Oklahoma to Arkansas to get a fresh start on life, but didn't tour the apartment complex she was moving into before she moved.
"The rent was significantly cheaper compared to where I had moved from," Kohout told Insider. "I was able to lease a two-bedroom for only $350 a month. It was super spacious and felt like home."
She saw the listing online and decided to go for it without looking at it first.
"When I went out to my car, I started meeting some of my neighbors. To my surprise, they were all over the age of 65," she said.

Once finished setting up her new home, Kohout realized her mistake.
"A week later, I saw the sign reading 'Senior Citizen Apartments.' I realized I accidentally moved into a retirement village," she said.
The apartment complex is an equal-opportunity housing complex, but out of the 10 units, she's the only teenager in sight.
In her TikTok series, she documents hanging out with her new neighbors, listening to their stories and having meals with them quite often.
"I've never had so many home-cooked meals in my life," she said.
She also said in the video posted on April 18 that the community is quiet, but her neighbors often ask her how she's doing when she gets home.
"I am taking each and every moment as an opportunity to learn," she said. "Remember, if you're struggling with rent, start your early retirement."
