Quad City Storm Hosting Day Of The Dead Game and Sleepover On The Ice
The Quad Cities hometown hockey team, the Storm is hosting Day Of The Dead game and a sleepover on the ice event next weekend. Before we tell you about those fun activities let's recap last weekend's fun.
The Quad City Storm secured four of six possible points over the weekend and now holds sole possession of 1st place in the SPHL for the first time in franchise history.
On Friday, October 28th, the Storm took their first road victory against the Vermillion County Bobcats with a 5-1 win. Five different Storm players tallied goals in the effort and netminder Kevin Resop stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced.
Sunday, October 30th's Game
After the Storm took an 8-5 win against the Evansville Thunderbolts on Sunday, they had Trick-or-Treat on the ice.
The kids (and the players) had a great time.
Hundreds of kids showed up in their coolest costumes.
Now, back to the game, forwards Mike Moran and Cole Golka led the way with a pair of goals and an assist each and goaltender Ryan Edquist recorded his first win in his first start of the season.
The Storm returns to Vibrant Arena at the Mark Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th for two games against their rival the Peoria Rivermen.
Friday, November 4th
This Friday, the Storm celebrates Día de Los Muertos with Day of the Dead Night presented by Ray’Z Barbershop. The Storm will be wearing specialty Day of the Dead jerseys that will be auctioned postgame to raise money for Mercado on Fifth.
Mercado vendors will be on the concourse selling crafts and food including tamales, elote, champurrado, and more.
Saturday November 5th
This Saturday is Scout Night presented by the Illowa Council. A special ticket and patch offer for scouts is available online and the Illowa Council is hosting a sleepover and movie night on the ice after the game.
