Sign of the Apocalypse? McDonald’s Is Adding Kale to Their Menu
McDonald's ran a commercial in January called "The Unapologetic Big Mac." It's the one that said, "You can't get juiciness like this from soy or quinoa. This is not Greek yogurt." Then it zoomed in on the lettuce on the Big Mac and the narrator said, "Nor will this ever be kale."
Now, less than three months after bashing trendy foods, McDonald's is adding kale to their menu. Way to stand by your convictions, guys!
There's no official word yet on what they're planning to do with it, the best guess is they'll be adding it to some salads and smoothies.
They probably won't be replacing the lettuce on their burgers with kale, but you never know. Then again, if you eat McDonald's burgers for the vegetables, you're doing it wrong.
