Speed Cameras

The photo speed enforcement van is back out on the roads in Davenport. Luckily enough, we know where they'll be this week:

Downing Family Fundraiser

Brooks, the 2-year-old son of a Davenport Fire Fighter, was first diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Despite surgery and treatment, the cancer has since spread throughout his brain and spine.

Sadly, there is no cure. As his parents prepare for the unthinkable, they are also burdened with mounting medical
expenses.

There's a special event to raise funding to cover all the medical bills so they can focus on what really matters at this time.

It's a special golf outing at Iron Tee on October 25th from 11am to 3pm. 25% of proceeds from the event go to the Downings.

There's a longest drive contest, silent auctions, raffles, and closest to the pin competition. If you can't make the 25th, they're continuing the 25% deal from October 26th-November 9th, if you mention Downing Fundraiser.

Abort Takeoff

A flight leaving LAX had to slam on its brakes after being told to "Abort Takeoff" when a cargo plane taxi'd onto the runway just as the airline plane was trying to takeoff.

Colonel's Nephew Is NOT Happy

A guy claiming to be Colonel Sanders great-great-great nephew, who is not happy about the corporation's perverse reimagining of his uncle in the sexy Colonel Sanders commercials. So, he's revealed the 11 herbs and spices secret recipe.

1 Tbls and 1/4tsp Sage

1/2 tsp Clove

1/4 tsp Nutmeg

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

2 pinches Red pepper/cayenne

1/2 tsp Corriander

1/4 tsp Ginger

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tbls White pepper

1 1/2Tbls Black pepper

1tsp Cardamom (Secret Ingredient)

3tbls Salt

1tbls MSG

3 cups CAKE flour

Dwyer also was sent a copycat recipe for the KFC Gravy, and he's all excited about it. It's from "Grandma Tasty" who we're not sure is a chef of some kind, or someone who we'll be mentioning a birthday for during Today in Rock History.
