Arson
A guy was arrested for arson after multiple doorbell cameras helped solidify him as the main suspect - and he was carrying a bag from a local fast-food joint. Sure enough, they found super clear video of the guy at the Dick Drive-In to identify him and charge him with arson-related homicide charges.
The footage helped them figure out what time the credit card was charged, and they were able to get a name.
Robert Wadlow
Today in Rock History....
In 1940, the Tallest Man in History, Robert Wadlow, died at age 32. At his death, he stood 8 Feet, 11 Inches tall, and weighed nearly 500 Pounds. When he was in kindergarten, Robert was 5-foot-6. By the time he was 18, he was 8-foot-4 and wore Size 37 Shoes.
Here's a radio interview of him from 1937, and his voice is as deep as you expect a guy who's almost 9 feet tall to sound.
HOAs Suck
A guy in Goodyear, Arizona, is fighting with his HOA after leaving out a cooler full of ice cold water bottles in his driveway for anyone who needs it as they walk their dog, or kids playing outside, or delivery guys. Anybody that needs cold water when it's 100+ degrees outside.
The HOA is now fining him for breaking rules and non-payment of the initial fines.
They said his violation was for "Storing items in view of other homes" which he pointed out - he's not storing it out there, it's brought in every night. A couple $25 fines later, they started the fines for non-payment.
Twerking On A Cop Car
Police in Ohio were able to use new facial recognition software to identify the women who impeded an officer from doing his duty by twerking on top of the squad car.
