Sky King

There's a new documentary about the grounds-crewman named Richard "Beebo" Russell at an airport who stole a commercial plane at Sea-Tac and flew it around before putting it nose down into the ground on a remote island away from everyone.

The ATC audio went viral, because it was a normal guy who couldn't go on with whatever battles he was fighting.

"It's better to have one day as a pilot than a lifetime as a baggage handler," was one of many quotes that went viral from it.

When he explained to air traffic control why he was doing what he was doing - “Just a broken guy with a few screws loose."

Just before he put the plane into the ground, "I'll do a barrel roll and if that goes good, go nose down and call it a night."

Someone put a video together that showed local footage of the event, combined with the ATC audio, and it's enough to give anyone chills.

There's a new documentary about it, but Michaels wasn't happy with how it was put together, and it seems he's not alone. The internet has ripped the new doc for being shallow, focusing too much on why he did it, cutting up audio, and editing the entire incident to remove the things that made him someone loved by everyone who heard the audio.
