If you had the chance to steal something and get away with it, what would you take? A fancy bag from the Gucci Store? A million dollars from a bank? An expensive diamond ring from the jewelry store? You would probably pick something expensive and worthwhile right? What about stealing a shoe?

Not a pair of Yeezys, just one Nike shoe, the left one specifically, that is currently being worn by someone. Would you steal that? This man in Brooklyn says yes.

On Wednesday, a man snatched a Nike sneaker off a woman's foot as she was walking up the staircase of a Brooklyn subway.

The 47-year old woman was on the platform of the Grand Army Plaza 2 and 3 subway station just after 11 a.m. The shoe snatcher had followed her up the stairs leading to the street. There, he pulled the $40 Nike shoe right off her foot and fled.

With shoe in hand, the suspect ran back down into the train station, jumped the turnstile, and took off on a train, cops said. (NYP.com)

The thief and victim did not know each other and had no interaction before the incident.

The shoe snatcher has not been found, but police are still searching. Police say the suspect is between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 10 and 220 pounds, last seen wearing a gray knit cap, a gray vest, a blue sweater, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

There are so many questions about this case. First of all, why just one shoe? If he was so willing to snatch this woman's shoes off her feet, why did he stop at one? Second, why a woman's shoe? Being a 5 foot 10 guy, this man knew he was not going to fit into a woman-sized shoe, with that being said, what did he steal it for? Was his plan to gift it to a lady or to smell the shoe for his own satisfaction? I guess we will never know.
