What is known as the famous 'Scarface' house is now up for sale in Montecito, California, listed for the price of $39.995 million. The mansion appeared in the 1983 movie as the home of Al Pacino's character, Tony Montana.

The 10-acre estate was designed by architect Bertram Goodhue and completed in 1906. Goodhue had designed the mansion for wealthy New Yorker James Waldron Gillespie. The Wall Street Journal reported that the home incorporates Roman and Middle Eastern influences, including a Byzantine-style “conversation room” with a fountain and a high-domed ceiling.

The dining room has a barreled ceiling that is painted in 24-karat gold leaf. The ceiling art depicts a scene of  Alexander the Great conquering Persepolis. A great feature the mansion has is the roof deck with views of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands. The home also comes with two guest houses and a large pool split into 4 sections.

This 7 bedroom home has welcomed famous guests Einstein, Churchill, John F. Kennedy. and Renowned German author, Thomas Mann, which is notably featured in the movie, Scarface.

The mansion, which was given the name "El Fureidis" is a livable residence with beautiful spaces of intimacies & luxurious serenity.
