Quad Cities Beer Battle On The Belle Crowns A New Champion
The third annual Beer Battle on The Belle floated up and down the Mississippi River this weekend, providing a boozy good time to all those aboard.
Over 400 beer drinkers and hellraisers boarded the Celebration Belle in Moline, and sampled some of the beers from the area's favorite breweries:
- Geneseo Brewing Company
- Front Street Brewery
- Bent River Brewing Co.
- Midwest Ale Works
- Industry Brewing Co.
- Great Revivalist
- WAKE Brewing
- Reserve Artisan Ales
- Confluence Brewing Company
- Lena Brewing Company
- Twin Span Brewing
- TLC Brew Works
BUT, only one of those breweries could take home the coveted trophy, and that was Lena Brewing Company, based in Lena, IL!
They received the most votes by those aboard the boat, and will enjoy a year with the trophy made by Premier Metal Art.
It was a blast, and everyone had a great time cruising up and down the Mississippi.
