Two prison guards from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania have been suspended with pay after allegedly falling asleep while guarding an inmate at a hospital.

According to Dauphin County Press Secretary Brett Hambright, officials became aware of the photo over the weekend as it began circulating the internet.

"It goes without saying that what we see in the photograph is totally unacceptable," he said.

Luckily for them, the inmate did what he knew he was supposed to do, and stayed put.

Press Secretary Hambright says as a result of them receiving the photo, both officers have been suspended without pay.

As part of the review, a new policy is being put in place to counter this type of behavior. They've reformed procedures regarding the custody of inmates at hospitals. Spot checks will also be performed at hospitals to make sure all procedures are being followed.

Officials said no escape was involved in this situation.
