Man Accidentally Shoots Himself While Trying On Pants in Walmart

A man had to be rushed to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself at a Walmart in Oregon.

The shooting reportedly occurred Friday while the man was attempting to try on a pair of pants in the dressing room.

Officers with the McMinnville Police Department reported that the man went into the fitting room to try on a pair of pants, but at some point, his pistol fell out of his pants pocket, hit the floor and discharged, striking him in the leg.

The man was transported to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville with a bullet stuck in his leg, according to those investigating the incident.

An update on his condition hasn't been provided yet, but no other injuries were reported after the accident.

The incident remains under investigation by the McMinnville Police Department.
