Kitty Litter Mistaken For Methamphetamine Lands Man in Jail
A traffic stop in early December in Houston led to police discovering half a pound of methamphetamine stuffed into a sock on the dashboard of a man's car. That meth was actually just kitty litter.
Ross Lebeau had the litter sock in his car as a way to keep his windows from fogging up. Lebeau was fingerprinted and sat in jail for three days, "People have been calling me a kingpin or drug lord."
Police did two field test on the substance and both came back positive for meth. Later on, a third test was conducted by the county's forensic lab that revealed it was not a controlled substance.KAIT
