Illinois Man Stomps On Woman Over Heated Cookie Argument

A Rockford man is in custody following an incident where he reportedly stomped on a woman's neck during a dispute concerning a package of cookies.

On September 27th, 2023, Eddie Turner and a woman were driving when they got into a heated argument about who bought a pack of cookies.

It escalated very quickly to the point of violence in the streets of downtown Rockford.

Their vehicle was stopped near the intersection of E. Jefferson Street and N. Second Street when Turner pushed the woman out of the car, onto the ground, and started stomping on her neck.

Luckily, a bystander witnessed the incident go down and ran to save the woman.  The bystander pushed Turner off the woman before piercing one of the tires on Turner's car.

I have so many questions.

#1: What kind of cookies were they arguing over?

#2: Were they upset about Girl Scouts discontinuing Raspberry Rallies?

#3: What triggered Turner to push the woman out of the car and stomp on her?

#4: Why? JUST WHY? 

Fortunately, Turner was booked into the Winnebago County Jail.

It's crazy to hear these types of things are happening so close to home.  If you see stuff like this, make sure to call authorities as soon as possible.  Be a good citizen!
