Wisconsin Has One Of The Most Bed Bug Infested Cities In The U.S.

Bed bugs continue to be a hot topic as we start 2024. The nasty little creatures continue to wreak havoc in the U.S. like the Paris bed bugs bed bugs did in Europe.

The biggest city in Wisconsin has an awful bed bug problem. Luckily, it's the only city to make 2024's top 50 cities with an awful bed bug problem, but the city's issue is on the rise.

Paris Isn't The Only City With A Bed Bug Problem

The city of Paris was put in a terrible spotlight in 2023 due to its bed bug problem. Actually, most of Europe was dealing with bed bugs and it got really bad. It still is pretty awful.

During the summer and the fall, bed bugs became a massive issue in Paris and they continue to spread all over the place.

Reports of bed bugs being found in Parisian schools and trains. Bed bugs have been found on passenger ships leaving France and going to other parts of the world. In December, a school in Boston was put on high alert due to a bed bug outbreak.

There's A Bad Bud Bug Problem In Milwaukee

At the start of the year, Orkin releases its list of the top 50 cities with the worst bed bug problem.

The pest control company found that one of those cities is in Wisconsin. Last year, the city of Milwaukee was the only Wisconsin city to make this list and it's the same in 2024. But Milwaukee's bed bug problem is on the rise.

Milwaukee this year landed at #25 meaning it is in the top half of the worst cities in the U.S. with the worst bed bug problem.

Last year, Milwaukee was at #40. Yes, Milwaukee moved up 15 spots from year to year. A city in North Carolina moved up 25 spots but going up 15 spots is still a lot.

Bed Bug Problem In The Quad Cities

If you had a slight sign of relief thinking bed bugs weren't a problem in the Quad Cities, think again. Davenport, Iowa went up 8 spots on Orkin's list from 37 to 29.
