With Labor Day weekend now officially over, many people have said their goodbyes to summer and are welcoming the fall season with open arms. Maybe a little too open.

Everyone is already gearing up for Halloween 2024. The spooky season is right around the corner and I guess there is no better time than the present to make some Halloween plans now.

The City of Davenport has released the dates and times for its massive Halloween parade and its city-wide trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treating will take place on Halloween like normal and the parade will happen on a Sunday afternoon. City officials are also taking applications from those who want to participate in the parade.

Davenport Sets Date And Time For Annual Halloween Parade

Mark it in your calendars now. The City of Davenport will have its annual Halloween Parade in downtown Davenport on Sunday, October 27th, 2024, and it will begin at 2 p.m.

It's a really awesome parade that features community partners, businesses, organizations, and more.

You'll want to make sure you know about road closures whether you're attending or not. This will make sure everyone has a stress-free experience. Below is the City of Davenport's road closure map:

The earliest road closures will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Free Parking For The Halloween Parade

If you're worried about parking or paying for parking, no need to worry. Parking is free in all three parking ramps from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on parade day.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., the Harrison Street Ramp will not be accessible until the parade is done. The Redstone and RiverCenter Parking Ramps will be accessible from Brady Street only. There is other free parking in several other parking lots south of River Drive as you can see on the map below:

Trick-Or-Treat Time Set For Davenport

Davenport city officials also announced their trick-or-treat times for the upcoming holiday.

City-wide Trick-or-Treating in Davenport will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st.
