Cubs Fans Won’t Want to Miss This Summer Reunion Event

All you have to do to make a Cubs fan smile is to say, "2016." That was the year the curse ended. Up until that year, the Cubs hadn't been in a World Series since 1945. The team hadn't WON one since 1908! That's a lot of generational suffering for one fan base. They were the loveable losers from the North Side of Chicago. But in 2016, they became something else. World Champions.

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Chicago Cubs 2016 Title

I am not a Chicago Cubs fan, but my wife is. And even I'll admit watching the years of pain and sorrow wash away in Game Seven of the 2016 World Series was something to behold. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since the Cubs broke through with a World Series win, although fans will tell you it seems like just yesterday.

The 2016 World Series team is set to be recognized at Wrigley Field on July 18th, but there is another event that  Cubs fans will want to attend in Chicago this summer.

'Loveable Renunion' Live in Chicago

Two of the stars of that Chicago World Series team, Anthony Rizzo and David Ross, have a popular podcast called 'Loveable Renunion'. WGN reports that they're bringing a live version of that podcast to the Chicago Theatre this July. The event is called 'Loveable Renunion Live'.

WGN reports that the event will take place on July 16th at 6:30 p.m. Joining Rizzo and Ross that night will be former Cubs teammates Jake Arrieta, Kyle Hendricks, Dexter Fowler, Miguel Montero, and manager Joe Maddon.

This event will no doubt sell out fast! Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m.
