Hide your grandma, unplug the aux cord, and clear your browser history. One of country music's most outrageous stars is bringing his farewell tour to Davenport this fall.

Wheeler Walker Jr. has officially announced a stop at the Capitol Theatre on October 21, giving Quad Cities fans one last chance to experience the country outlaw who built a career on dirty songs.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m., but fans can get early access during a local presale on Thursday, June 11. The presale code is POONCT.

Why Is Everyone Talking About Wheeler Walker Jr.?

I don't even know how much I can tell you about his music because it's wildly inappropriate…

If you've somehow never heard of Wheeler Walker Jr., imagine if classic outlaw country got drunk, made a bunch of terrible life choices, and then decided to write songs about all of them, and included every curse word in the book. That's basically the entire brand.

And people absolutely love it.

His songs are dirty.

Like... REALLY dirty.

Like, "don't accidentally play this through your office speakers" dirty.

Like, "never connect your Bluetooth to the family room TV" dirty.

Like, "you better read the song titles before grandma asks what concert you're going to" dirty.

And somehow he's turned that into more than a billion streams, multiple gold and platinum records, and a fanbase that knows every single inappropriate lyric by heart.

This was the cleanest song I could find...

Consider yourself warned, Quad Cities.

Is This Really His Farewell Tour?

According to Walker, yes. Wheeler says he's retiring.

He's releasing what he claims will be his final album on September 25 before heading out on a farewell tour that includes a stop right here in Davenport.
