Levi Craft, known best for his works as a singer and guitarist in Far Out 283, his solo acoustic work at numerous bars and music lounges, and his ability to play just about anything thrown at him, had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity during a vacation trip to Nashville last week.

In town for New Year's Eve, Craft was enjoying the bars in Midtown, and decided to stop at the bar Losers Bar & Grill.

As he walked in, a man telling a story swung is arms out and hit him in the chest. The man turned to Craft, and said "You look like you could be my kid."

Levi, snarky and sarcastic as he's known to be, said "Hell, I might be. What's my name?"

The man replied, "You look like a Leroy."

As he quickly realized that the man he was talking to was none other than Kid Rock himself, he said "It's Levi, but close enough," and started singing Jim Croce's Bad, Bad Leroy Brown's lyrics.

Kid started singing with him for a second, then asked if he played guitar. Levi does, so he said, "Well, let's go play that."

It turns out, that Kid knew the musician playing the bar later that night, and asked him to bring a guitar down early so he could play a tune or two as the moment struck him.

In a swirl of about 90 seconds, Levi walked into a bar, ran into the American Bad Ass, and ended up playing guitar next to him.

After the song, Kid walked off the stage and told Levi to keep going, but not without warning him.

"Don't play any originals, nobody down here wants to hear any of that shit."

Levi played for about 30 minutes before feeling like he'd done enough and went back to his beer.
