If I've learned anything from watching hours of Shark Tank it's 2 things:

1. Mark Cuban will pull his offer if you try and listen to any other sharks' offers
2. Distribution is everything!

Best of Local Brands

Hy-Vee is hosting its "Best of Local Brands Summit" where vendors are invited to submit their products for potential distribution in Hy-Vee stores.  They are looking to expand and enhance its product offerings at its more than 285 retail stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

This year, Hy-Vee continues to elevate its efforts of identifying suppliers with diverse backgrounds and encourages minority-owned and women-owned businesses to apply for the quarterly summits.

You can submit your brand for the Best of Local Brands Summit online at
www.rangeme.com/hyveebestoflocal22q4.  They are looking for the following categories:

• Grocery
• Deli
• General Merchandise
• Frozen
• Dairy
• Health and beauty care

The submission deadline is September 12, 2022.

Virtual Interviews in November

The summit will consist of 20-minute virtual interviews with selected suppliers and will take place Wednesday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 4.  So, have your Shark Tank presentation ready.  Make sure you know your numbers and your brand could be on the shelves at your favorite Hy-Vee store all around the region.

New Products

Since the Best of Local Brands Summits began in early 2021, more than 100 new brands have been selected and are available to Hy-Vee customers.
