Last night, it was announced that not only will the November 21st Quad Cities tour stop for Heart's upcoming tour be postponed, but the entire tour will be postponed due to "medical reasons."

Ann Wilson announced from her Facebook page on July 2nd that she "underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous."

She went on to say the operation was successful, and that she's feeling great but will be undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

With that, Wilson said "And so my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover."

She says she "Absolutely plans to be back on stage in 2025."

“This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing,” Wilson continued in the statement before adding, “Respectfully, this is the last public statement l’d like to make on the matter.”

If you have tickets to the show, you're encouraged to hold onto those tickets, because they will be honored once the show is rescheduled - hopefully in 2025. In the event the tour is changed from "postponed" to "canceled", refunds will be available.

The announcement from Ann Wilson and Heart impacts 50 shows at venues throughout the US and Canada, some of which were shows partnered with Def Leppard and Journey on their stadium tour.

In May, the European tour for the band was canceled, with the statement saying Ann had to have “a time-sensitive but routine procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks.”
