Florida Man Busted After Throwing Alligator Into Drive-Thru Window
Here at the radio station, when we talk about Florida Man stories, we'll joke and throw a bunch of words together that would sound like a Florida Man headline. The most jokingly used one is the one you read above - Florida Man Threw An Alligator Through A Drive-Thru Window. It seemed so ridiculous that it would never happen, and would make us chuckle, but by God, it actually happened.
A man was arrested Monday for what police say was tossing a live alligator through the drive-thru window of a Wendy's restaurant down in Loxahatchee, Florida, prompting a joint operation from Palm Beach County officials and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Police say 23-year-old Joshua Douglas James straight up told the officials that he picked up the American alligator on the side of a road and later threw it through the window of the Wendy's after ordering a large soft drink.
They were able to track his movements back through his bank card, showing that he had stopped at a 7-Eleven before moving on to Wendy's.
James appeared in court for the first time this week, where a judge set his bail for $6,000, and he is not permitted to enter or visit any Wendy's restaurant.
