Florida Man Accidentally Released from Jail On Birthday, Wanted By Police

Authorities are searching for a 52-year-old inmate who was accidentally released from jail in Miami.

Eduardo Cabana was "freed in error" on Monday, which was also his birthday, the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department said.

Perhaps it was his birthday wish.

Jail officials say they aren't sure how the error happened, but say Cabana isn't someone Miami wants on the streets.

Cabana was in jail on multiple charges, including:

• Obstruction by a Disguised Person
• Shooting or Throwing a Deadly Missile
• Criminal Mischief

He was also being held on a probation warrant.

Criminal records also show he previously faced charges of Robbery with a Firearm, Burglary, and Purchasing or Selling Cocaine.
