As baseball season gears up to start, the construction of a small stadium has also begun at the Field of Dreams shoot site. The New York Yankees and then White Sox have decided to face off in August of 2020 where the legendary players did in the famous baseball movie.

MLB shared a photo of the first set of lights being raised up on the field:

The Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville, IA came to exist when the movie was made in 1989. The original field will not be used, but a path through the corn in center field will lead to an 8,000 seat stadium, with full camera crew and press box.

The operations manager is working on site, even having his office in the bedroom of Kevin Costner's Ray Kinsella, where he can see the original field from his desk.

The game takes place August 13th, and more than the 8,000 are expected to show, many will be tailgating. With a town of less than 5,000, town members are concerned with how to house everyone, but the answer is simple, according to the town. They held an informative Airbnb.
