Hockey Player Fights Fans
A minor league hockey player is suspended for 3 games after a back hallway scrum between him and some fans. The player, Justin Pender, was caught on video throwing a broken stick down the hallway at the fans, before running down to throw some punches at them.
He got in trouble a few years ago for a fight in a ball hockey game a few years back as well.
Ruby Slippers Are Up For Auction
The Ruby Slippers from Wizard of Oz that were once stolen by a former mobster are up for auction. They were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Minnesota in 2005, and recovered in 2018 by the FBI.
They're starting at $800,000.
Terry Jon Martin was sucked into the theft by a former mob associate to steal the shoes in "one last score" because he said this pair of shoes had real rubies in them.
Of course, they were movie prop shoes, so the rubies were naturally just plastic sequin.
Listener Christopher said there's a great episode of the show Expedition Unknown that shows the whole story. Click the button below to watch.
