Speed Cameras
The photo speed enforcement van is back out on the roads in Davenport. Luckily enough, we know where they'll be this week:

Beer Battle On The Belle
For the third year in a row, we're bringing the best breweries in the area together to battle it out to see who has the best beers, while all of us "judges" float up and down the Mississippi River aboard the Celebration Belle.

A Narco Submarine was caught over the weekend with 6.5 tons of cocaine.
It turns out, this is how they're doing a lot of smuggling now, is under the sea.
Self Checkout Is A Failed Experiment
The studies are finally finished, and they confirm what we knew all along: Self Checkouts Suck.
An increase in theft, terrible user experience, and slower checkout time are all leading issues with the self-checkout.
The study also points out that most of the stores that have a dependency on self-checkouts, are the same stores removing staff from their stores.
Sam's Club Scan and Go
While on the topic of self checkouts, we got a lot of messages about how awesome Sam's Club's self checkout is. You simply scan the items with your phone as you shop and then walk out of the store. Your account is charged when you leave.
Weekend Homework
Michaels assigned the weekend homework due today for you to watch Gold & Greed on Netflix, the docu-series about Forrest Fenn's treasure.
We've had some emails come in that it was the most addictive watch they've had in years.
Of course, if you didn't finish your homework on time, we have Dwyer working here so you know we don't have any punishments for deadlines.

A 72-year-old dude just got sentenced in a case where he was convicted of being the ringleader of a multi-million dollar catalytic converter theft ring.
Foreigner Tour Change-Up
So there's a problem with something to do with Kelly Hansen being able to leave the country, so now they're bringing in the guy who does the Spanish dubs for their music - and Lou Gramm will help out on occasion too.
Traffic Control Idea
Someone at the transportation department of Montgomery Township had the bright idea to slow speeders on one of their roads.
The fix, was to take a straight road, and make the lines all zig-zaggy.
Waterloo Warriors
The Waterloo Warriors high school hockey team won the USA Hockey Division 1A high school national championship.
