Speed Cameras
The photo speed enforcement van is back out on the roads in Davenport. Luckily enough, we know where they'll be this week:
- Monday: 2800 Jersey Ridge Rd -- 1500 E Locust St.
- Tuesday: 1900 Brady St -- 5500 Pine St.
- Wednesday: 1000 W 53rd St -- 2100 Marquette St.
- Thursday: 2800 Division St -- 700 W Central Park Ave.
- Friday: 700 W 53rd St -- 900 W Central Park Ave
Train Always Wins
We've got another Truck vs. Train video, and as expected, the train wins every time.
No injuries were reported in this one. According to witnesses, the truck stopped on the tracks for unknown reasons, but the driver was deflecting blame right away.
"Right when (the driver) got out, he wasn't trying to defend himself or place blame; he's just like, 'Did you just see that? The gates just came down ... what was I supposed to do?'" one witness said.
It looks like the truck got sandwiched between the two crossing gates, passing the first one while it was up and getting blocked by the second when it came down.
The truck got pushed about 100 feet down the tracks.
Guy Arrested For Sex Acts On A Corpse On The Subway
The first question we have is... why are there dead homeless guys on the subway?
The victim reportedly died from natural causes at some point before the incident.
Storm Take It To Overtime
Last night, the Storm had playoff game 1 with the Peoria Rivermen in a best-of-three series. The game was on the road, and it was a hard-fought game.
First, the Storm got up 3-0 on the Rivermen, who ended up tying it by the end of the second period. A quick goal in the 3rd period put the Rivermen ahead.
At 0.01 on the clock, Leif Mattson scored to send the game to overtime.
The Rivermen scored 4:48 into the 3rd period to win the first game.
Storm are at home tonight for Game 2, and they'll be looking to force Game 3.
Hudson River Helicopter Crash
A sightseeing tour helicopter had a mechanical malfunction that separated the rotor and rudder from the cabin.
The rotor was still spinning as it hit the water. The family of 5 from Spain that was on board and the pilot all perished.
