Frankie MacDonald Has A Storm Warning For Us
It's not often that we hear from Frankie MacDonald during the summer months, but he's got a warning for Iowa for Wednesday - and it's strong thunderstorms with the possibility of a derecho.
Simone Biles Now Has The Most Medals
Simone Biles now has the most medals in US Gymnast history, with eight Olympic medals: Five gold, one silver, and two bronze.
She also had a viral Instagram post responding to their former teammate MyKayla Skinner, who posted criticisms during the Olympic Trials.
“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t what it used to be,” Skinner said. “I mean, obviously, a lot of girls just don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic. It’s hard too because of SafeSport. Coaches can’t get on athletes and they have to be really careful what they say, which in some ways is really good, but at the same time, to get to where you need to be in gymnastics you do have to be a little aggressive, a little intense.”
Biles' post's caption simply read "lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions."
Flavor Flav Is Personally Sponsoring US Women's Water Polo Team
Flavor Flav saw a post from US Women's Water Polo Captain Maggie Steffens telling the financial struggles the team was having, and Flavor Flav wasn't going to let that be a problem for a team representing the country.
“As a girl dad and supporter of all women’s sports - imma personally sponsor you my girl,,, whatever you need. And imma sponsor the whole team,” Flav wrote.
He stuck true to his word, and has been in the stands for every match the team's had.
He even got in the pool with the team, which is a hard thing to try for anyone, let alone 65-year-old.
Of course, Flav can't be in the stands without being legendarily accessorized.
Flavor Flav Was On Michaels' Daughter's Cruise
Michaels' daughter went on a cruise for her honeymoon, and it turns out Flav was on the same cruise as her, and she saw him all over the ship.
High Rise Rescue
A window washer got stuck while hanging over the side of a high-rise and had to be rescued. He's a pro, but he had an equipment issue that meant he couldn't move.
Some Schools Let Students Painting Parking Spots
Today we learned there's schools that let the students paint the parking spots they will use for the year.
Katie Ledecky Won A Heat By 20 Seconds
Katie Ledecky won her third 1500m Freestyle heat by 20 seconds. The clip is hilarious, she's finishing as some swimmers are just starting there final down-and-back, and then she has to just sit and wait for the other people to finish.
Eel (And A Lemon) In The Pooper
A guy had a 12-inch eel (and a lemon) removed after he shoved them both up the no-go-zone. The eel had reportedly eaten through his large intestine and was hanging out in his abdomen.
