The Olympians Are On Their Phones
Michaels noticed throughout the whole opening ceremonies of the Olympics, the athletes had their phones out the whole time, and he wasn't the only one.
People on X noticed the same thing.
Bob The Cap Catcher
Emma Weber lost one of her swim caps, and "Bob The Cap Catcher" came right in to save the day and remove the cap from the pool before the next heat began.
The French Video Game Connection
The weird Assassin guy that was parkouring and carrying the torch during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics was, in fact, a nod to the Assassin's Creed video game series, which had an installment take place in Paris.
The game also played a huge role in the reconstruction of the Notre Dame Cathedral after its fire, thanks to the game having such a detailed recreation for players to explore. They sent their design info over to the group in charge of reconstruction and sped up the process - and the accuracy.
Susan Smith Is Up For Parole
Susan Smith, who was infamously in the national headlines in the mid 90s for murdering her two children and blaming it on a carjacking, is up for parole and is in the headlines once again for 'sexploiting' multiple men that thought they were the only one in a relationship with her.
She's also been featured in a Lifetime show called Cellmate Secrets, with one of the many guards who have been caught having... relations with her.
Man Fell Into A 50 Foot Well
A 50-year-old man was rescued after falling into a 50-foot well.
“Cobb Police Department got a call sometime after 10 p.m. from the man’s son who was concerned because they hadn’t heard from him in a while and couldn’t reach him. They knew he was in the woods looking for his phone and drove by and saw his vehicle there, but they couldn’t find him,” Cobb County public information office Lt. Steve Bennett said. "They began calling for him, and then one of the officers thought he heard something and went and found the gentleman had fallen into about a 50-foot well that was in the woods."
Trucker Salute
Michaels spotted some kids doing the "Trucker Salute" at every passing car this weekend. It brought back memories for everyone because everyone's done it, everyone loves it, and the truckers love it themselves too.
Next time you see a truck, throw it up for them and see if you can get a honk back.
Inside The International Space Station
With the two astronauts stuck in the International Space Station, we wanted to see what the inside looks like to see how fast we'd freak out. Check out this walkthrough.
