Elmo Gives A Firework PSA
Elmo was brought on to do a firework PSA for a town where fireworks are illegal.
"It's really not smart, you could end up with a fine of up to $2,000 and that's a lot of cookies . . . Elmo loves cookies."
Hawk Tuah Girl Finally Speaks Out
The girl from that viral "Hawk Tuah" video that's been plaguing everyone's timelines for the last two weeks final has sat down to speak. She sat on PlanBri from Barstool Sports' podcast to address the rumors. She did not get fired, her dad is not a pastor, and she's going to move to Los Angeles and capitalize on her 15 minutes of fame.
Andres Escobar
We learned about Andres Escobar, the Columbian footballer who was killed after scoring an own-goal in the 1994 FIFA World Cup against the USA team, which leaded to their loss.
Just five days after the game, Escobar was outside a nightclub in Medellin, when three men approached him and began arguing. Two of the men drew guns, and shot Escobar six times, shouting "GOAL" after every shot.
Ironically, after the own-goal, Escobar told the press, "Life doesn't end here." Unfortunately, it did. His shooter, who was connected to some cartel leaders, was released a few years into his sentence on "good behavior."
There's a Netflix documentary on this topic, called The Final Score.
Johnny Carson Exposed Magician
Uri Geller was a guy who touted his magic powers - actual magic powers - and he made it all the way to Johnny Carson, who exposed him as a fraud. Geller insisted he wasn't a magician, but actually magic.
Alice Cooper On The Phone
This morning we talked with Alice Cooper about all sorts of stuff, but the biggest being his show at the Mississippi Valley Fair on August 3rd.
Listen to his interview here:
One of the topics was Alice's last visit to the area, where he was spotted at Northpark Mall.
World Famous Log House
The World Famous Log House that once toured the country is for sale. Basically, a lumberjack tore down a redwood tree, hollowed it out by hand, and then made it into a 3 bedroom house.
It's for sale, and you can see more photos and the whole story here:
Meta AI Can't Make Heads Or Tails Of Hairball
Megan made a graphic of Hairball getting abducted by a UFO, and Facebook's new Meta AI can't make heads or tails of it.
Some of the answers make no sense, like it says Hairball reproduces by splitting into smaller Hairballs. Or how his lifespan is probably 12-15 years, but it doesn't know enough to be sure.
