The Comancheros Shirt Scam Update
The Comancheros (who are playing at Rascal's Live in Moline on February 23rd) is one of Dwyer and Hairball's favorite touring bands, and with that, Dwyer tried to support the band by buying some merch from their website.
Only it wasn't their website, it was a link a scam bot dropped in the comment section of a Facebook post that didn't look anything like a Comancheros shirt, in fact, it even had the word "Happy" spelled wrong.
So, they decided they wanted to make it right for Dwyer, but they used a photo of him that Hairball sent them after they laughed at his misfortune.
Pig Butchering Scams
A guy named Barry May is being used as the poster child for a new style of scam known as "Pig Butchering," where the scammer will fatten the victim for slaughter, so to speak.
Many times it's a long con investment scam, where the victim will see returns until they throw more and more money into the investment, and then all of a sudden, there's no more money coming back.
SD Card Found With Gruesome Murders
Police say a woman who is known for her lengthy criminal background turned in an SD card with some gruesome images on a footage of what appear to be murders that police say Brian Steven Smith committed. He'll be in court this week in Anchorage.
“In my movies, everybody always dies,” the voice says in one video. “What are my followers going to think of me? People need to know when they are being serial-killed.”
Netflix Documentary To Watch
Michaels said this Netflix documentary series is one to watch, about the case of Aaron Quinn and Denise Huskins, called American Nightmare.
"After a home invasion and kidnapping, a young couple's recounting of the events is too far-fetched for the police to believe."
