Crayola is Retiring a Crayon From the 24-Count Box
For the first time in Crayola's 100-year history, the company will be retire a crayon from the 24-count box. The decision will be announced on Friday, which happens to be National Crayon Day.
Crayola hasn't said which color is getting the axe yet, they gotta build up some hype first. It's safe to assume that they aren't getting rid of red, blue, or yellow though.
The company has retired some colors in the past, but never from the 24-count box. The 24 colors currently residing in the box are:
- Red
- Yellow
- Blue
- Brown
- Orange
- Green
- Violet
- Black
- Carnation pink
- Yellow orange
- Blue green
- Red violet
- Red orange
- Yellow green
- Blue violet
- White
- Violet red
- Dandelion
- Cerulean
- Apricot
- Scarlet
- Green yellow
- Indigo
- Gray
