It's time to get rid of those old/unneeded medications and vape/electronic cigarettes laying around your home. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton Police Department, and Camanche Police Department announced they are holding two drive-through Medication and Vape take Back Events. The events will be taking place at the same time on Saturday, April 30.
Those who want to get rid of those unneeded/old prescription drugs and vape pens/electronic cigarettes can drop them off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations on that Saturday:
- Clinton County Law Center/Courthouse Parking Lot at 241 7th Avenue (Clinton, IA)
- Camanche Police Department, 819 S. Washington Street (Camanche, IA)
According to law enforcement officials, at this event residents can drive through and drop off their outdated or unneeded medication or vape/electronic cigarette devices. This event will be held regardless of the weather.
Those dropping off those items during the event will remain in their car to drop off medication and vapes and can expect it to only take 5 minutes.
The three Clinton County law enforcement agencies want those dropping off medications and vapes to know that the batteries must be removed from vape/electronic cigarette devices and be placed in a sealed Ziploc baggie. The vape batteries can also be collected at the event, but they must be removed prior to arriving.
