Brandon Gibbs is often found in our studio because when we see an Iowa boy with some talent, we like to promote that as much as possible.

A couple of weeks ago, he stopped by to tell us about his newest song, Rich for Life.

From his YouTube channel, Brandon describes the song perfectly.

"Being "RICH" is about the people, places and memories you make in this lifetime."

I want to thank you for the all set, and the sure bet.

I want to thank you for the heartbeat from the back seat.

You're the one who fights the rain, so we never feel the pain.

Good God, I'm rich for life!

The song is a bit more toned back than a lot of Brandon's other songs, but it's a heartfelt thank you to the people he loves.

Rich for Life is available wherever you stream your music.

Prior to this, Brandon released his a song called "First Friend," about moms.

The story behind the song goes that a friend reached out to Brandon because there just wasn't a song that showed how much he loved his mom, and he needed something to dance to with his mom at his wedding.

"My First Friend" will bring a tear to your eye no matter how tough you are, and you'll immediately have images flooding back in your head of your mom being, well, your first friend.

Head on out to Joliet, IL, on August 5th to catch Brandon Gibbs opening up for Whitesnake's Joel Hoekstra at The Forge.
