97X Nominated, But Misses Out On Marconi Award

It's an honor just to be nominated.

The National Association of Broadcasters met in Dallas this week, and awarded many stations in many categories of excellence.  97X missed the top spot in our category.  It's nice to know we appeared on the radar of the board who makes these decisions, as the nomination process is a feat in itself.

It stings a little, I'm not gonna lie, to get your hopes up.  We had a big year, thanks to the loyal 97X listener.  A 40th anniversary isn't something many stations in our business get to see anymore.  Maybe next year. Congratulations to KWYO in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Like Keith Richards likes to say, "Is the bar still open?"  Then all is good.  Keep rocking' rockers.
