Get ready to give them all your lovin.'The Iowa State Fair has announced the rest of this year's music lineup which includes classic rockers ZZ Top and Heart's Ann Wilson.

The Iowa State Fair is held Aug. 11-21, 2022 in Des Moines and includes grandstand acts Brooks & Dunn, Nelly, Alanis Morrisette, and Demi Lovato. You can see the entire fair lineup here.

The fair is just one of the stops ZZ Top is making during their Raw Whisky Tour which begins next month. The band is also getting ready to release a new album titled RAW in July that was recorded in connection with the band’s wildly popular and critically lauded 2019 Netflix documentary That Little Ol’ Band From Texas.

According to the band's website, the album’s title is derived from the straightforward manner in which the tracks were recorded. As seen in the film, the band members played, for the most part, together within sight of each other in the course of one day.

The band will perform on the Grandstand stage at 8 pm on Aug. 16.

I saw ZZ Top for the first time when they performed at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport back in 2010 which was a terrific show. You can expect these 70s icons will perform hits like “La Grange," "Legs," "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Sharp Dressed Man."

We’re the same guys, bashing out the same three chords,

said ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons in the release announcing the band's State Fair appearance.

We'll all be thinking about, bassist and original member Dusty Hill who died last summer at age 72. Elwood Francis, who already worked with the band as a guitar tech, stepped in to play Dusty's parts. Here's one of my favorites from the band.

Ann Wilson, lead singer of Heart is one of the premier hard rock vocalists arguably of all time. She joins ZZ Top as a special guest. Ann Wilson crushed boundaries with her band Heart, the 8-times platinum, 35 million-plus selling Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trailblazers who formed in 1973. During a decades-long career, Wilson has ridden the roller-coaster of fame, fortune, and madness, learning both joyous and hard, hard lessons along the way.

Wilson's new studio album, Fierce Bliss, is set for an April 29 release. Give her new single, Greed a listen.

Tickets to ZZ Top and Ann Wilson go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m., ranging from $40 to $60, and can be found through iowastatefair.org.
