Young Boy Gets Town to Overturn Ban on Snowball Fights
This goes to show, you're never too young to take on the man. A nine-year-old boy from Severance, Colorado successfully got the town to overturn a century-old ban.
Dane Best calls the law "outdated" and just wants to throw a snowball at his little brother without getting in trouble. He presented his argument to the town board at a meeting earlier this week.
The boy has been talking about snowballs nonstop since he found out it was illegal to throw one. The ordinance stated it was illegal to throw or shoot stones or missiles at people, animals, buildings, trees, any other public or private property or vehicles.
Dane got his classmates involved and the group wrote numerous letters to the town's board members. Those members voted unanimously to lift the ban on Monday.
