The popular ride share service Uber is now available across Iowa. According to KWWL Uber released the following statement:

"Residents and visitors across the state deserve access to affordable and reliable transportation, and now Uber will be available in more Iowa cities than ever. Riders will be able to open the Uber app and request a ride, and driver-partners will be able to go online and accept trip requests. So whether they’re in Iowa City, Dubuque, Quad Cities or anywhere in between, Iowans will be able to hit the road and earn or request a ride to get wherever they need to go.”

Uber's been in the Quad Cities awhile. When I first arrived in the Quad Cities I was living in a hotel and driving the KIIK 104.9 truck around. I flew back to Lubbock several times to visit my wife and took an Uber between the radio station and the airport every time. It was certainly an easy, inexpensive, hassle free way to get around from the Airport. It sounds like that ease is now spreading across all of Iowa.
